Welcome to BPS Weekly Newsletter - 22nd May!

Hope everyone is keeping well! We're missing you all! School is staying open for key workers and vulnerable children through half term but please be aware the kitchen will be closed. They will need to bring in a packed lunch.

Dependent on government guidelines on June the 1st school will be open initially to year 6 as well as key workers and vulnerable children.

We cannot yet accommodate year 1 and reception as the school building is too small to allow for social distancing.

With this new step we hope parents will remain conscientious and please keep children at home if they are unwell, we will do all we can to ensure school is as safe and as low risk as possible.

However we can not guarantee that this step will be completely risk free, therefore there will be no repercussions for keeping your child off, all absences will go down as acceptable absences.

We also ask that pupils only bring their coat, a water bottle and a lunch box if required to school with them thank you. NO other items from home is permitted.

It is important every child has a full water bottle for school as water fountains will not be available. Anything else they need will be provided here, so no need for a book bag!

In order to avoid as much cross contamination as possible after school and breakfast club will not be available to year 6 students, but will remain open for key worker children only from 1st June. If you are wanting any advice, have any questions or need help logging into to the online learning platforms please don't hesitate to contact us.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS

Please phone the school on 01743 365211 by 10am each morning to request a packed lunch for your child/ren.  You will be able to collect these from 11.30am at the school gate.

KEY WORKER CHILDREN

We are at full capacity for key worker children so unfortunately we can't take on anymore.

Please ensure you email us by the end of week to let us know your requirements for the following week to:

keyworkers@belvidere-pri.shropshire.sch.uk

Try to arrive on time for both dropping off and picking up from school as with School opening up to more students with social distancing we won't have the staff to collect you whilst avoiding cross contamination.

Reception and Little Bells

Little Bells are not opening yet however we are starting to plan for opening as soon as its safe enough to do so.

Thank you to all those that have uploaded items to Tapestry.  It has been lovely to see what learning activities the children have been up to.  Please continue to upload the activities you are completing as these will all go towards their EYFS end of year assessment.
