Friday 12th February 2021

Good Afternoon Parents & Guardians

We would like to thank all children and parents who are not attending school for all of the fabulous work that you are doing at home.

Thank you all for your support over what has been a very different Half Term.

February Half Term

School will be CLOSED from Monday 15th February to Friday 19th February for Half Term to all pupils and no home learning activities will be set.

We hope that the weather is good so that the children can take a well deserved break away and enjoy some activities outside.

School will reopen for Key Worker children on Monday 22nd February.  If you haven't already booked your child/ren's  place, please do so as soon as possible through the Key Worker form on the website.

Parents' Evening

We are hoping to be able to conduct Parents' Evening for all children individually -  remotely, possibly through Zoom.

This will enable teachers and parents to discuss your child/ren's development.  Children would also be able to participate.

More information will be sent out the week commencing the 8th March.

SCREEN AWAY WEDNESDAY

We have been very impressed with the Games created and will carry on with SCREEN AWAY WEDNESDAY after half term. We hope you enjoyed making them and playing them as much as we did seeing them all.

Wednesday 24th February

We would like to invite you to create a superhero. Tell us all about his or her powers.

Create a costume for your hero, it could be for you, a doll or action figure.

You could use any materials: newspaper, card, foil or fabric etc.

NEW SKILLS

Wow! We are so impressed with the new skills you have been learning!  Everyone has worked so hard - Well Done!  We hope you had lots of fun learning your new skill.  Thank you to everyone who was on ZOOM with us this morning!

FILMY FORUM FRIDAY

Friday afternoon we will be providing a link via Tasks for your child to watch an educational based film. They can then join in a forum discussion with their class friends. We hope this will give children time to think and reflect upon the world around them and will be a relaxing way to end the week!

Key worker Booking Form

This is now online and must be completed by 12 noon on Friday please. We can not guarantee a place after this time. You must have completed an application form and had it accepted prior to booking!

COVID-19 Guidelines

We advise you to wear a mask when dropping off and picking up around the school gate.

Please follow the links below to stay updated on the latest guidelines and information.

Home Learning

Thank you for all the work you are doing at home. Your child can access their learning through the Learning Platform in 'Things to Do".

We do understand how difficult it is at present, but can we ask that if you contact your child's teacher and do not receive a response straight away, that you bear with us.  The teachers are working harder than ever - teaching the children in school, setting home learning for those not in school and marking work.  Therefore, there maybe a delay in responding to you but they will respond when they can.

National Book Week

Book week will take place week commencing 1st March.  There will be a variety of activities taking place to celebrate this week including having talks from authors virtually.

Miss Hawkin's Art Competiton

Thank you to everyone who has entered. These have all been put into a virtual gallery and hopefully will be on the newsletter after half term.

We hope you all keep safe.
