PE and Sports Premium

At Belvidere Primary, we recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of the children. We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children.

Our Primary School Sport’s Funding will enable us to continue and extend our provision through employing additional sports professionals, entering into more competitive sports competitions and training our staff to deliver in-house quality PE sessions.

Primary School’s Sports Funding

Sport is an important part of life at our school and we have developed a range of initiatives.

This was an idea which originated at our school. As part of one of our earlier Sports Premium Grants we developed our cross country club. We then had the idea to complete the last mile as part of the Shrewsbury Marathon. Since then the initiative has gone NATIONAL - What a great use of our SPORTS PREMIUM grant. Now thousands of pupils across the country benefit from it!

The Main initiative and use of the Sports Premium Grants this year has been the installation of our Daily Mile Track  -FIRST SCHOOL IN THE COUNTY! Every child undertakes 15 minutes of running each day.

Below is a breakdown of how we are spending the grant this forthcoming year.
